Installation features

This structure is installed during roughing work, as long as there is no finished floor and painted walls.

If you have planned the plasterboard, the installation requires a double layer – a profile is screwed to the first one and is covered by the second layer.

If there is already plaster, you will need to cut a recess for the skirting board (opening 78-85 mm). Our craftsmen can do this.

Stages of work:

1. The hidden skirting board profile is fixed with self-tapping screws to the rough wall (to the first layer of plaster or block). It is IMPORTANT that you consider the thickness of the flooring.

2. A finish consisting of plasterboard or a wall plastering compound is applied to the top of the profile.

3. The wall is plastered and painted.

4. Once the finishing work has been completed, the aluminium skirting board is installed in the material of your choice (MDF, veneer, wood, aluminium, tiles).

5. If you want to install LED lighting, you need to leave a gap of 3 to 6 mm between the overlay and the skirting board.

We offer two options: an already painted profile according to RAL or NCS, or a profile with primer that you can also use to paint walls or doors, in addition to the profile.

Veneer

Painted according to RAL or NCS, or we choose colours to match your parquet, laminate or wooden floor.

Natural solid wood

Overlay in ash, oak and other wood options to choose from. Ideal for interiors using wood.

Tiles

It is used in rooms with high humidity (garage, swimming pool, dressing-room) or in room conditions. Outdoor installation is possible.

Anodised aluminium

The strongest and most durable option, unaffected by moisture and minor mechanical damage, and suitable for rooms with high humidity.

Measurements required for ordering

For the order you need:

1. to measure the total length of the walls where the skirting boards will be installed;

2. to count the number of outer and inner corners to know the exact number of skirting board joints (if required);

3. if you want to put a skirting board over the stairs, you need to count the number of steps;

4. after calculating the total length, the allowance of +5% should be taken into account.
